Video: Confucius Institute unveiling

WKU unveiled a plaque on April 22 marking the location of a future Chinese cultural media exhibit that will be part of WKU’s Confucius Institute. WKU President Gary Ransdell and Amy Eckhardt, director of the Office of Scholar Development and administrative director of the Chinese Flagship Institute,  introduced the plans for the exhibit at the Helm Library. The exhibit will include 3,000 items of Chinese materials in the form of journals, monographs and videos that will be donated by the Office of Chinese Language Council International, or Hanban, in Beijing as a part of WKU’s hosting the Confucius Institute (CI). Also attending the ceremony were members of WKU’s Board of Regents and officials from local government and schools who supported WKU’s CI application.
