WKU’s Department of Engineering hosted its Freshman Engineering Day on Dec. 16 at the Complex for Engineering and Biological Sciences. In the first-year class projects, mechanical engineering students designed and built small steam engines (wobblers); electrical engineering students designed and built autonomous line-following robots (bugs); and civil engineering students designed and built bridges made from manila folders.
