More than 430 fourth-grade students from five Warren County elementary schools are expected to participate in the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on Thursday (Sept. 24) at WKU’s L.D. Brown Agricultural Exposition Center.
Students from Bristow, Richardsville, Oakland, Briarwood and Rockfield elementary schools will participate in 10 education sessions focusing on safety from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The interactive educational programs are designed to teach rural children how to prevent injuries and reduce the risk of farm incidents.
Safety day activities are sponsored by the Kentucky Partnership for Farm Family Health and Safety Inc. and South Central Area Health Education Center in partnership with the Progressive Agriculture Foundation.
