High school students from four states to participate in agriculture conference

More than 30 high school students from four states will participate in the WKU Department of Agriculture’s 2009 ASSET (Agriculture Students Striving for Effective Tomorrows) Conference May 31 to June 4.

The five-day conference is designed for high school students who have completed their junior year, excel in academics and extracurricular activities, are leaders in their community, and are interested in furthering knowledge and education in the agriculture industry. The conference will consist of leadership, communication and social development activities; tips for applying, entering, interacting and making the most of a college experience; and create awareness of the opportunities within the agriculture industry.

The 2009 ASSET Conference participants are as follows(listed by school):
