The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that most universities, including WKU, require for admission to graduate school. Students often procrastinate in their endeavor to begin work on their master’s degree solely because of the cost and difficulty of the GRE.
WKU-Owensboro is helping and encouraging prospective graduate students by offering a free one-day GRE preparation workshop. The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 20 in the conference room at the Advanced Technology Center on the campus of OCTC.
Dr. Reagan Brown from WKU’s Department of Psychology has been helping students prepare for the GRE for 11 years and will lead the workshop. “I offer these review sessions simply because I want students to succeed,” Dr. Brown said. “Many of my students have enjoyed great success on the GRE.”
Preregistration for the workshop is required by May 15. To register, call Lewatis McNeal, graduate advisor, at 270-684-9797. Study materials and lunch will be provided at no cost to students.
