The Houchens Industries/KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16 concluded Saturday evening at Diddle Arena with Iroquois defeating Elizabethtown 55-47 in overtime for the 2009 state championship.

First-round games March 11: Iroquois 42, Franklin-Simpson 36 OT; Montgomery County 35, Louisville Christian Academy 33; Simon Kenton 46, Breathitt County 37; Casey County 54, Johnson Central 31.
First-round games March 12: Elizabethtown 56, Lexington Christian 50; Boone County 39, Rowan County 26; Ohio County 59, Clay County 56; Henderson County 53, Marshall County 43.
Quarterfinal games March 13: Iroquois 46, Montgomery County 37; Casey County 54, Simon Kenton 44; Elizabethtown 70, Boone County 54; Henderson County 64, Ohio County 36.
Semifinal games March 14: Iroquois 52, Casey County 43; Elizabethtown 57, Henderson County 33.
Championship March 14: Iroquois 55, Elizabethtown 47 OT.
