The V.I.P. (Volunteering in Progress) program was very successful in donating goods to local charitable organizations during the fall semester.
V.I.P. sponsors a monthly drive for various local charities around Bowling Green. Goods are donated by WKU students, faculty and members of the Bowling Green community.
The following are the fall sponsored charities and the number of good donated:
*Coats for Kids – 400 coats
*Southern Kentucky Bookfest – 2,000 books
*H.O.T.E.L. Inc. – 1,475 cans
*Toys For Tots – 100 toys
V.I.P. is sponsored by WKU’s Office of Leadership & Volunteerism and continues its monthly drive sponsoring Girls Inc., where they are collecting school supplies. Donation of goods can be brought to the Leadership & Volunteerism office at Downing University Center, room 326.
