Photojournalist Bill Eppridge to discuss Kennedy book in visit to WKU

The School of Journalism & Broadcasting will host internationally acclaimed photojournalist Bill Eppridge at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Mass Media and Technology Hall Auditorium.

Eppridge is perhaps best known for his photographs of Robert Kennedy, including the iconic photograph of Kennedy in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel, just seconds after he was fatally shot.

Eppridge’s presentation will focus on his time with Kennedy on the campaign trail until Kennedy’s assassination, and he will discuss his book, “A Time it Was: Bobby Kennedy in the Sixties.”

In the past four decades, Eppridge, who has been a photographer for Life, National Geographic and Sports Illustrated, also has photographed the Beatles, Apollo 13, the Vietnam War, the civil rights struggles of the 1960s, Woodstock, the Olympics, the Mount St. Helens eruption, and numerous other historical events.
