WKU civil engineering faculty member Shane M. Palmquist has been named the Outstanding Engineer in Education in Kentucky for the second time.
Palmquist, an assistant professor, received the 2008 award in October at the annual meeting of the Kentucky Section American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) state conference in Louisville. He also won the statewide award in 2006.
Approximately 70 civil engineers from Kentucky and civil engineering students and faculty from WKU, University of Louisville and University of Kentucky attended the event at the Frazier International History Museum.
