The annual Freshman Assembly ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at Diddle Arena.
Speakers will include President Gary Ransdell and Student Government Association President Johnathon Boles.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Saundra Ardrey, head of the Department of Political Science. Dr. Ardrey will discuss “Get on the Bus,” the theme for this year’s Political Engagement Project.
At 7 p.m., Nashville band Eric Wilson and Empty Hearts will perform on the Downing University Center South Lawn near the Guthrie Bell Tower.
All freshmen are expected to attend unless they have a night class on Tuesday.
